If your goal is to travel confidently, find your way around cities and towns, order food in restaurants, and hold basic conversations with locals in Spanish-speaking countries, you will typically need to complete at least one Beginner course, one Intermediate, and one Advanced course. 

If you meet with your teacher once a week, and each course last 10 weeks, completing all three courses will take approximately 30 weeks (about 7 months). In addition, you should expect to study and practice for 1-2 hours each day. 

To accelerate your progress, it would be a good idea to immerse yourself in the language as much as possible, listening to Spanish music, podcasts, and watch movies or TV show in Spanish. Even if you don’t understand everything, regular exposure will help you become familiar with the sound, rhythm, pronunciation, and natural flow of the language. 

If you are willing to commit more time and effort, you can take and intensive program where you will meet with your instructor twice a week. Learning a new language requires time, energy, dedication, and most of all discipline. However, the timeline depends entirely on your objective. If your gaol is to become fluent and communicate naturally like a native speaker, language learning is a long-term journeney that can take many years of continuous practice. 

On the other hand, if your goal is simply to acquire practical travel skills, completing a Beginner xourse and an Intermediate course (about 20 weeks in total) can give you the ability to ask and asnwer common questions, handle everyday situations, and communicate with locals at a basic lavel. 

Bottom line: Yes, you can learn Spanish in 3 months if your goal is basic communication and travel surviving skills, especially through intense study. Achiving conversational fluency, however, typically requires a much longer commitment.
